Je suis originaire d'Italie. Durant l'été 1986, AC/DC a organisé un concours pour trouver un certain nombre de sosies européens d'Angus, afin de les faire monter sur scène lors de la dernière date de la tournée "Who Made Who", par l'intermédiaire de la chaîne MusicTelevision.
Avec certains de mes amis, nous avons pris des photos juste pour le plaisir et nous les avons envoyées à Music Television Italy. J'ai utilisé la guitare blanche avec un drapeau japonais de mon ami : je l'ai retournée et j'ai imprimé le négatif à l'envers aussi.
Quand Rick Hutton de MusicTelevision m'a appelé au téléphone et m'a dit que j'étais le gagnant italien du concours, je n'arrivais pas à y croire. J'allais monter sur scène pour la première chanson avec Angus et AC/DC. J'allais à New York. Et je faisais tout ça gratuitement ! De quoi un adolescent rocker peut-il rêver de plus ?
Vous pouvez lire le programme du voyage pour voir les détails. Le soir du spectacle, nous sommes montés sur scène pour la première chanson, "Who Made Who". Il y avait un sosie d'Angus pour chaque état européen, et beaucoup d'autres parties du monde. Tout le monde avec l'uniforme d'écolier d'Angus et une guitare en carton. Quelques photos du spectacle sont sur Getty Images, malheureusement je n'en ai pas personnellement.
Le spectacle a été merveilleux. Pour AC/DC, c'était la dernière date de la tournée "Who Made Who", mais ils ont secoué le Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY. Je n'ai pas de mots pour décrire le spectacle, c'était la première fois que je les voyais. Ils ont été bénis par Dieu pour faire du rock de cette façon, et leur travail acharné pour y arriver pendant des années est incommensurable.
Quoi qu'il en soit, après le spectacle, les "clones" ont été invités à la fête.
Une autre chose qui m'a impressionnée, c'est qu'Angus, Malcolm (rip), Brian et Cliff sont tous de grands êtres humains. De grands rockers, de grandes personnes. Pas d'attitude de rock star, juste des bons gars qui aiment ce qu'ils font. Je parle peu temps avec Angus car il est entouré de filles... Je rencontre Eric Carr (rip) de Kiss à la fête, Goeff Tale de Queensrÿche aussi. Eric Carr était aussi une personne formidable.
Le lendemain, moi et les clones européens, nous sommes allés à New York pour un voyage touristique: Twin Towers, Brooklin Bridge, Statue de la Liberté... Super expérience, merveilleuse et incroyable, merci AC/DC.

In 1986 AC/DC made a contest to find a number of Angus sosia to bring them on stage in the final date of the "Who Made Who tour".
MusicTelevision in Europe bring the new on television.
It was summer of 1986 and with some of my friends we took the photos just for fun and send them to Music Television Italy. I used a white guitar of my friend that has got a japanese flag on, so I turn it upside down and print the negative photo upsidedown too.
When Rick Hutton of Music Television called me on the phone and said I was the italian winner of the contest, I can't believe it, I was going on stage for the first song with Angus and AC/DC.
I was going in New York. And I was doing it all for free ! What a rocker teenager can dream more ?

The night of the show we went on stage for the first song. Who made Who. There was an Angus sosia for each european state, and a lot from other part of the world. Everyone with Angus school uniform and a guitar made of paper.

The show was wonderful. For AC/DC was the last date of the "Who Made Who tour", but they rocked the Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY down. I have no words to describe the show, it was the first time I saw them. They were blessed from God to rock that way, and their hard work to make it during the years is uncommensurable.
Anyway, after the show the "clones" were invited to the party.
Another thing that shocked me was that Angus, Malcolm (rip), Brian, Cliff are all great human beings. Great rockers, great persons. No rockstar fuckin' attiutude, just good guys who like what they do.
I talk few time with Angus because he was surrounded by girls.....
I meet Eric Carr (rip) from Kiss at the party. Geff Tale of Queensryche too.
Eric Carr was a great person too.
The next day me and the european clones, went in New York for a turistic trip, Twin Towers, Brooklin Bridge, Statue of Liberty.
